Emily Kawano
Emily cut her activist teeth in the Seabrook anti-nuke movement, where she learned that consensus based decision-making does not mix well with the fast pace of an occupation attempt, especially when one’s affinity group is positioned in the marshes and the incoming tide is about to cut off retreat. Having survived that, she has been involved in social and economic justice issues ever since.
Kristan Bakker
Kristan has been working with Wellspring since 2016, first as a facilitator of our organizational strategic planning process, then as a co-chair of our newly formed development committee in 2017, and finally as a fundraising consultant. She has served on our board, and starting in 2022, she joined the staff as our development coordinator.
Nellie Marshall Torres
Nellie comes to Wellspring with a passion for solidarity economy, creativity, and community. Alongside Wellspring, Nellie is a co-coordinator of the Massachusetts Solidarity Economy Network (MASEN).
