Farm Bug Co-op

Farm Bug Co-op is an independent worker–owned cooperative formed to grow and advocate for organic, sustainable, small batch craft cannabis. Our policies and practices fulfill this mission by working in the best interests of the people, plants & planet. The production facilities they are developing center the wellbeing of the community, what worker-owners and customers want out of the business and product, and long term conservation goals for the planet.

Worker-owners, J and Eric, post with their certificate of stock at Farm Bug Co-op’s first annual meeting

Farm Bug is still in the process of securing land to build their facility. Once secured and operational, they will sell cannabis flower wholesale to both retail outlets and direct-to-door delivery services. Farm Bug is focused on an educated consumer that wants to buy cannabis that is grown ethically and explore a more expansive range of terpene profiles.

Farm Bug Positive Impact Plan

Overview
Farm Bug Co-op is committed to positively impact local casualties of drug wars in Massachusetts and the communities in which we operate.  Black and brown people make up these casualties out of all proportion to our population, and the poor are consistently more frequent victims of our justice system. Any serious plan to address historic crimes will account for these facts and offer remediation for our nation’s ongoing civil violations to the people so harmed.

As a worker – owned and – governed cooperative, members are not simply employees but must think and act as informed, responsible business owners for our enterprise to thrive.  The path to full membership and governing equity in the co-op is open to anyone able to fulfill the responsibilities of the work, not just the people who started it.  For this reason we are surely the only current applicant able to claim that it offers real ownership, not a jobs quota or profit sharing but real ownership, to local casualties of drug wars and those disproportionately harmed by them.
