On Saturday, May 30, Wellspring Cooperative collaborated with the New Era Young Lords Organization, Neighbor 2 Neighbor in Holyoke and sponsored a community gathering in Holyoke. There was food prepared by Gran Cocina volunteers, clothing give-a-way, music and overall solidarity between all who were part of the event. The goal is to continue doing these events and create spaces rooted in politicized direct services, connection, dignity, and collective care. Spaces where our neighbors and our families can access resources, build relationships, share knowledge, and feel supported rather than abandoned.
